This morning I would like to share a little story. Most of you know me pretty well and understand that I have a "don't hug me" thing going on. Well today that was thrown completely out the window.
I was dropping my kids off at school as per normal but today had to go up to see one of the teachers. As I was standing there in my child's class a woman walked up to me and said "Aren't you the woman shaving her hair off for cancer?"
When I confirmed that "Yes I am" she threw her arms round me and hugged me tight, when she let go she had this to say. "Thank you, my young child has terminal cancer."
I knew why I was doing this and knew the reasons behind why I am doing this but that hug was a huge wake up call. I struggled to hold the tears in and pretty much made it home in one piece.
